In their first-ever home match, Washington Boys Volleyball fell 3–0 to the Riley Wildcats, but the night was bigger than the scoreboard. This was a program taking its first steps in front of its own community — new team, new system, new expectations — and the Panthers showed flashes of what they’re building toward. Washington battled through long rallies, held their composure in tough stretches, and kept swinging even as Riley’s experience showed. The Panthers’ energy never dipped, and the crowd got its first look at a group learning how to compete at the varsity level point after point. The loss doesn’t define them. The response will.
