Washington Soccer Holds Ground in 2–2 Thriller Against Morton Washington High School battled to a hard-fought 2–2 draw against Morton Senior Junior High School in a match that delivered grit, drama, and a standout performance from striker Javier Galvan. Galvan was electric from the first whistle, netting both goals for Washington with clinical precision. His first came off a slick through ball in the 18th minute, slicing past two defenders before burying it low into the corner. The second—just after halftime—was pure instinct: a rebound off the crossbar that Galvan volleyed home with authority. Morton responded with resilience, equalizing twice through set pieces that tested Washington’s back line. Despite late pressure from both sides, neither team could find the winner. Washington’s next match promises more fireworks—and Galvan’s boots are definitely one to watch.
