The Lady Panthers had been battling the flu all week and it effected the team. Despite a season low 28 points, the Panthers were able to pull the out the 28-27 win over Penn in the opening round of the 4A Laporte Sectional. It was a total team effort as Kira Reynolds was battling with cramps all night and saw limited action the entire second half. Ryiah Wilson made the play of the game as she stole the ball and was fouled with 14 seconds left. After knocking down both free throws to put the Panthers up by three, Penn took the ball up the court and called a timeout with 6.1 second left. Inbounding the ball, Penn went for two rather than shoot a three and time expired after the shot went in. The Lady Panthers will face Michigan City who beat Adams 65-56.
