Final Score: Gary West Side 74, Washington 56 The Panthers returned home Saturday night for their second game in as many days, taking on a tough and athletic Gary West Side team. After stacking two straight wins earlier in the week, Washington now finds itself on the opposite end of momentum, dropping its second in a row with a 74–56 final. Even so, the identity didn’t waver. Washington competed with energy, found stretches of rhythm offensively, and continued to show the toughness that fueled those earlier wins. West Side made their runs, but the Panthers kept answering, kept communicating, and kept fighting to stay within striking distance. This group has already proven it can respond — they’ve done it before. Now the challenge is to reset, learn from the weekend, and get back to the brand of basketball that earned them those two victories. Growth rarely moves in a straight line, and nights like this become part of the foundation that shapes who they’re becoming.
